Green & Clean
Fairmount CDC is dedicated to making Fairmount a cleaner and greener neighborhood. To achieve this goal, Fairmount CDC supports a number of specific programs. Below is information on those programs.
Plant a Tree
Deadline for Spring 2012 planting is August 12th, 2011.
Would you like a free tree planted in the front of your home or property? Each season, the Fairmount CDC teams up with Fairmount TreeTenders to plant street trees throughout the neighborhood. If you would like to have a tree planted at your property, simply complete this application.

Commercial Corridor Street Cleaning
To keep our streets clean, the Fairmount CDC provides street cleaning services along Fairmount Avenue and West Girard Avenue. We know the cleaner streets also means safer and brighter streets.
Fairmount Cleanup Days
Every spring, in conjunction with the City of Philadelphia’s Spring Cleanup Day, we sponsor a number of projects for volunteers to help cleanup Fairmount. This past year we spruces up the Veteran’s Memorial at 30th and Girard and also provided supplies to clean up communal alley ways. In addition to the Spring Cleanup Day, if your block decides to organize a cleanup let us know and we can provide you with all the necessary supplies!
