We're continuing to celebrate Black Business Month this August too - click here for several neighborhood favorites we've profiled already, and come meet one of the newest in the neighborhood, Herbology, tomorrow at Brewerytown Sidewalk Social - August 15 from 6pm-8pm at 26th and Girard. The event features two blocks of food, music, vendors and community; all the details are at fairmountcdc.org/sidewalk - see you there!

Community Thrift has opened on Girard Avenue in Brewerytown, you can read about their space and mission via 6ABC, PHL17 and CBS3.
Bodie, the new gift shop on Fairmount, Lumos Yoga & Barre on Green Street and Parrish Street, and Remedy Spa & Wellness on 29th Street all earned places in Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly 2024 issue (as well as Philly Girls Jump, who meet in front of the Art Museum)
Philly Magazine also shouted out the recently-restored Founders' Hall at Girard College as one of the city's best wedding venues, and the Aiyah boutique on Fairmount Avenue - "a one-stop shop for wedding rings and gifts" from local artisans!
NBC10 presented this inside look at The Boozy Mutt on Poplar!
Fox29 recently visited Fairmount Waterworks on the Schuylkill, as well as Blkberry Juice Bar on 29th Street, and shared this feature on Search + Rescue Drygoods on Taney Street.
Thirsty Dice and Sabrina's were both named to this list of the "Top Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Philadelphia."
Bold Coffee Bar on Ridge celebrated their 4th birthday earlier this month, while Over the Moon Ice Cream on Girard turned two in late July!

The 15th Annual Beech "Jazz on the Ave" Music Fest is this Saturday, August 17 from Noon to 8:30pm on Cecil B Moore between Broad and 17th Streets.
Jazz at Girard College is back this Sunday, August 18.
Saturday, August 24 from 10-11:15am The Monkey and The Elephant Cafe is hosting an interactive literacy workshop for parents and caregivers of young children up to 6 years old.
North Broad Renaissance is hosting their Summer aBroad Game Night on Thursday, August 29 from 5pm to 8pm at Broad and Poplar.
