Elsewhere in the neighborhood, the vegan dim sum at Unit Su Vege, 2000 Hamilton Street was highlighted by Craig LaBan as one of the "best vegan dishes to try in Philadelphia." Cameron's Seafood has opened at 1600 Fairmount, Otto's Taproom has returned at 1216 N 29th Street, and Brewerytown Food Hall is coming to N. 31st Street later this spring.

Black History Month


February 19, CADO: Black Art Fair & Makers Market is coming to Underground Concepts in the Divine Lorraine, the first desegregated hotel in the country. It's an all-day event, not to be missed, that serves as an incubator and allows creatives from across the region to meet, support, and discover Black-owned or led brands. Smith Memorial Playground debuted their free Leaders and Legends exhibition for Black History Month, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has free admission on February 25 as part of their celebration, including art kids studio, tours and interactive storyteller performances. Eastern State Penitentiary will be highlighting Black Americans who are leaders in criminal justice reform today and feature the stories of some incredible individuals who are part of Eastern State's history. Follow their social media Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to learn more and engage with other Black History Month content throughout February.
