Thanks to the generous support of our community, Sulimay's Salon & Barber Studio is a recipient of the COVID-19 Business Relief Fund.
About Sulimay’s Salon & Barber Studio
In 1963, my dad, Jim Sulimay, opened his one chair Barbershop in Fairmount. He followed in his father's and grandfather's footsteps as Barbers. Jim’s Barbershop was located at 24th and Brown Streets. In 1996, I graduated from Jean Madeline and joined him along with his girlfriend at the time. Between now and then, Jim retired at 78 years old. I opened a second location in Manayunk. This past May, I relocated and expanded Sulimay’s to a beautiful new space on 2333 Fairmount Avenue. Sulimay’s has twenty-three employees that are filled with talent, compassion, and personality. They are such an amazing group of people. We take pride in providing a nice, clean and comfortable creative space. Our goal is to make sure that each guest has an excellent experience with their service from start to finish. We want to inspire each person to be the best possible version of themselves. We can’t wait to get back to you all. To learn more, visit, https://sulimayshair.com/.
How the Relief Fund Will Help
The relief fund is helping us pay for the overhead of our Fairmount Avenue location. Although we are closed, we still have to pay our rents, utilities, insurance policies and salon software costs, etc. It all adds up very quickly, especially with little to no income coming in.
How you Can Continue to Support Sulimay’s Salon & Barber Studio
Due to the amount of kind and generous people that have asked if they can donate, we added a donation link to our website. If you’d like to donate to a specific stylist through their Venmo account, that is also an option. If you need any information regarding that you can email style@sulimayshair.com.
To help more small businesses during this time, please consider contributing to Round 2 of the COVID-19 Business Relief Fund.
